No reservations required.Free hearing Screenings. We will be offering free examinations of your ears to see if you have wax and free hearing screening to see if your hearing has fallen outside of the normal range.

Call the Senior Center at (562) 943-0131 for reservations or more informationThis service is being offered free of charge as part of our community outreach program. We will be do hearing screening and examinations of the ears for wax an infection. Each person will get a copy of his test results and an explanation.
While waiting for your test appointment you can join in our “Ask The Audiologist Program”. Dr. Mary Ann Gilbert, Au.D. will be available to answer any and all questions you have about hearing loss, hearing aids, assistive devices, ringing in the ears, etc. Dr. Gilbert is the Director of Audiology for Whittier Hearing Center. She has over 25 years of experience in diagnosing hearing loss and providing rehabilitative treatment. This is one of the most popular programs that we offer. Everyone is welcome to come to the lecture part, but you do need to call the La Mirada Senior Center and make a reservation if you wish to get your hearing screening.

Then you are not alone. It is estimated that over 50 million Americans are suffering along with you. In the lecture Dr. Mary Ann Gilbert, Director of Audiology at Whittier Hearing Center will discuss the types of tinnitus; causes of the problem; treatment options including the latest in medical and audiological research on the subject.
